Update on JTA's Prescription Assistance

JTA has been fortunate to be able to help dozens of transplant recipients over the past 10 years with our Prescription Reimbursement Program. The program gave a total of $10,000 to transplant recipients who received their transplant at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville.

As of December 2024, all program funds have been used, so we are officially closing the program. We are grateful that we were able to help more than 75 transplant recipients pay for their prescription medications with the program. And, of course, we thank the International Transplant Nurses Society for their generous gift so that we could offer this program.

Starting the Conversation about Donation

Breaking the Ice

Something as simple as wearing some apparel that promotes donation can break the ice to begin a discussion about donation. Start a conversation or simply say it out loud without speaking to anyone! Showing your support for donation and creating greater awareness can be as easy as putting on a shirt. See a great collection of donor awareness designs on our Donor Education page.
